And the Winner's Are...

So I finished cutting and designing my Christmas Cards for the year.  I am now hoping for a Snow Day in order to finish them. I have also been playing with my camera settings and displaying my cards better.  Hope you like the outcome.

These three, along with the dress form from my October 27th post, are the winners for this years cards.  I really enjoyed creating again.   I know that I am using last year's paper, but after cleaning my craft room, I need to be a consumer of my supplies and not a hoarder.

Heart 2 Heart Color Challenge

This one took me several tries.  I love our Idea book, because it was my design inspiration.

The color challenge was Bamboo, Juniper and Autumn Terracotta.  I used Stamp Set B1395, So Grateful.

Getting to Create Again

I have spent the last few days pulling up carpet in my craft room from flooding and rearranging it so I could be creative again.  After I returned from convention, I had to go back to work the next day and have only done projects for school.   This is one I did for my Principal's boss.  I work at Paris Elementary.

Tonight I created some Holiday cards using our papers and stamps, but the main pieces are from wrapping paper.  This was a challenge from my niece.  She wrapped my gift last year in this paper and I just loved the non-traditional colors.
Still working on getting colors right.  This is actually Tulip and Lagoon

This one is Pear, Sky and Black.  As you can see I was trying to pull the colors out of the Dove.

This one is Sky and Lagoon.

Convention Bound

Well, I am leaving in a few hours for my very first CTMH convention.  I have been doing this for nine years and have never been able to attend.  I am excited and apprehensive at the same time.  I am, hopefully, going to meet some of the wonderful consultants I follow online.  It is at the Disneyland Hotel and I get to go with two great friends.  One, you may follow, Marie Isom and my good friend and upline, Peggy.  It will be four days packed with fun and lots of creating.

So here is what I made to trade.  It was hard to come up with ideas after not crafting for so long, but alas my handy dandy "Wishes" book from CTMH came to the rescue.  I love these idea books as well as our Idea book and catalog.

You can't see very well,, as I am still learning how to take good pictures, but there is a small rhinestone in the flower center and a bow around the flowers.

This one is hard to tell colors.  I really got out of my box.  I had fun using our spray pens and painting the flowers Sunset and Smoothie.  The green is Pear and the brown is Chocloate.

Too Long In between Crafting

I have not been able to be in my craft room to actually craft for months.  It was hard to get my creative juices flowing.  I needed Thank you notes, so here is what I came up with.  Hope you enjoy the simplicity.

Another Sympathy

Used several new products.  CTMH card chatter for the sentiment and the new canvas buttons, as well as kraft borders.

I also embossed to make the sentiment stand out.

Belated Christmas

Here are some gifts I made for some co-workers.  I made 12 note cards for each.
I made four of each different blue and design.

Only one design and color for this one.  Her favorite color is purple and you cannot go wrong with Gypsy.  It is such a perfect purple, plus it looks good with the Bohemian alphabet.

I don't know what I did.

I have no idea why some of my pictures disappeared, but if you click on the box where they should be, they will come up.  I am not as tech savvy as I thought I was.

Home in time to play

I can't believe how much creativity I have missed.  I have to be careful not to let other things slide, but I did get off early today, so I created this.  I have a hard time with masculine cards, but after organizing and cleaning my craft room, I remembered this wonderful stamp set (which is a favorite of my friend Marie's )and paper.

Last of my cold weather play time

I just created without any sketches or color challenges.  I find that hard now that I have not been doing it for a while.  I used to love it because I was free.  Hopefully it will start to come back to me.
I ended up putting some of the cocoa Opaques in the upper left hand corner after taking this picture.  I thought it needed something to balance it and didn't think of it until seeing the picture.

"Snow" Day and Play

Because of Colorado's crazy weather, we got a "snow" day.  Though there was not much snow involved, just extremely (for Colorado) cold temperatures.  I was able to create a card for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge.  This was also my first attempt at accordion flowers and paper piecing.  I also did it in a 5x7 card.

Thursday Therapy that was much needed

I had a really, really long day at work.  Productive, but very interrupted and choppy.  I decided I needed my praise music and a little therapy tonight.  I received this great book for Christmas and had not tried anything in it.  So tonight, here is what I came up with.

Sympathy Cards

My daughter called me today and asked me if I had any sympathy cards on hand.  I did, but wanted to make some anyway and get some therapy in tonight besides cooking.  So I had this one made by the time she got here and she loved it.  Said it fit perfectly for one of the people she wanted it for.  So then she waited while I did the next one and helped me pick the paper.
She also helped my figure out the lighting with my camera to help capture the colors better.  Go Jordan!!!

Express Yourself

I really love the CTMH Wings paper.  I need to learn more about my camera to get the lighting better, but for not crafting for a while, I don't think it turned out too bad.  The sentiment says it all.

I have a craft room again!!!

I have been avoiding it like the plague.  It has not been a place of solace for a very long time.  Just a place to put all the "unwanted" household things that we didn't want to deal with right away.  The few crafts that I did do, were on top of a stack of boxes I had brought home to clean and sort out the room.  It was really sad.  I am braving judgment from some by posting before and after pictures, but that is on you.  The only thing I have left to do is move my computer back downstairs.  As you can see from the "after" pictures, the desk awaits, along with the sound system I hook up to it.

Pretty Bad, I know

Clean surface and wonderful ribbon holders, thanks to Mike and Jordan.  After finding more ribbon, though, I made need another one.

Now I have a productive environment for my therapy.
